Postseason Executives Are Shaping the Next Generation of Athletes, While Expanding their Digital Athlete Community Footprint
Postseason App, Inc., an ed-tech startup and athlete empowerment platform, is proud to highlight the hands-on work of Founder and CEO Jelani Jenkins and Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer Frances Garcia as they continue to inspire and guide student-athletes at both high school and college levels. Through their respective programs, Jelani and Frances are leading by example and helping athletes grow into leaders, both on and off the field.
Jelani Jenkins, former NFL linebacker and Founder of Postseason, recently took on a new role as a Consultant for the student-athletes at Good Counsel High School, his alma mater. Through this partnership, he is implementing a Student-Athlete Success Program designed to help athletes unlock their potential not just on the field, but in life. "Being back at Good Counsel is a full-circle moment for me," said Jenkins. "I want these athletes to see themselves not just as players, but as individuals with the power to create a lasting impact beyond sports."
At the same time, Frances Garcia, a former Division 1 volleyball player at Gonzaga University, is transforming the mental performance of athletes as the Mental Performance Coach for the University of New Orleans (UNO) Women’s Volleyball Team. Frances uses her experience in sports, marketing, and leadership to help athletes improve communication, build confidence, and strengthen leadership skills. "Competing at this level is a privilege," says Garcia. "My goal is to help these athletes maximize their potential, not just as players but as strong, self-aware, well-rounded individuals."
While both are deeply immersed in their individual programs, Jelani and Frances remain dedicated to the collaborative mission of Postseason’s Athlete Purpose Playbook (APP). The Playbook is a comprehensive tool that helps athletes navigate identity, leadership, and the transition from sports to life beyond the game. Together, they are continuously working to create onboard new courses, grow our online athlete community and expand Postseason’s offerings to high school, collegiate, and professional teams nationwide.
Future Vision: Looking ahead, Postseason currently offers the Athlete Purpose Playbook for independent learning and workshops, both virtually and in-person, for high school, collegiate, and professional teams. They are also scaling to offer 1:1 virtual performance coaching on a case-by-case basis, continuing to shape the future of athlete development.
"We’re just getting started," says Jenkins. "Our goal is to empower as many athletes as possible to find their purpose beyond sports and become leaders in every aspect of their lives."
